Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal said that it will benefit the team if they had a stable opening partner.

Apart from Tamim Iqbal no opener could cement his place at the top while the team management also chopped and changed it on different occasion.

After scoring a big knock of 158 from 136 Tamim Iqbal is now the leading run-scorer for Bangladesh. But for Tamim this record can be broken down by the young players in the coming time.

Liton has the best strike of 109.57 since the start of 2019 for Bangladesh team. But he’s position is not consistent in the team. Liton hasn’t had a fixed batting position even when playing for the side. He’s floated around almost everywhere in the batting order. He’s opened the batting, he’s batted at 3 and also in the middle-order.

But Liton could be the best option as an opener for the Bangladesh team as per another veteran opener Tamim Iqbal.

‘’Having a stable opening partnership is always good for the team. Even the cricket history says the same thing like the big players of other country have a settle opening partnership. What I think that Liton is doing well now. If I play well enough and create big partnership, big partnership means if we had the chance to play in every format as opener I’m sure the team will get benefit,’’ Tamim told reporters on Wednesday. 

Liton have been in and out of the team from the time of his debut. But scoring good amount of runs in the World Cup 2019 gives him a place in the team.
