Bangladesh opener Liton Kumar Das, who scored his second ODI’s hundred, said on Saturday that his nervousness came as a blessing in disguise for Zimbabwe.
Liton hit 126 off 105 balls with 13 fours and two sixes before retiring hurt helped the host earn a massive 169-run win over Zimbabwe. ‘’You might not have understood but to be honest I was nervous more than anything else from last night because I am not playing ODI’s for a long time as I was not part of the Sri Lanka tour,’’ Liton told reporter at the post match press conference on Saturday, who did not field as he was recovering from the hamstring that prevented him to bat for the full 50 overs.

‘’I knew I would open today and so there was pressure at the back of the mind because I am not opening for a long time as I did not open,’’ he said.
‘’Probably that nervousness acted positively for me because I was nervous I needed to be more focused and cannot play all my shot despite having it,’’ he said.
‘’I feel because I was nervous I was very focused throughout my stay at the wicket,’’ he said.
‘’I won’t say staying relaxed is a hindrance for me but when you are overconfident you try to play all your shots and the problem arises at that point of time. When you over confident you play more shots that increases chances of your dismissal as well.
Bangladesh won the opening game and went 1-0 up in three-match ODI’s series and will play the second game on March 3.
