Bangladesh reaches maiden ICC Under19 WC final

Bangladesh Under-19 team created history by qualifying for the final of ICC Under-19 World Cup for the first time when they beat New Zealand by six wickets at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom on Thursday.
Mahmudul Hasan struck a hundred to guide Bangladesh to 215-4 in 44.1 overs after bowlers set up the win with their controlled bowling.

Pacer Shoriful Islam claimed 3-45 while spinner duo Shamim Hossain and Hasan Murad took two wickets each as Bangladesh restricted the Kiwis to 211-8 after electing to bowl first.
Beckham Wheeler-Greenall made highest unbeaten 75 off 83 balls while Nicholas Lidstone scored 44 runs for the Kiwis.
In reply, Bangladesh were reduced to 32-2 in the ninth over but Mahmudul struck 100 off 127 balls and put up two decent stands of 68 and 101 runs with Towhid Hridoy and Shahadat Hossain respectively to complete an easy win.
Mahmudul struck 13 fours for his fourth hundred in youth one-day internationals while Shahadat and Hridoy made 40 runs each.
Bangladesh will now face India in the final of the tournament at the same venue on Sunday.
