Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque said on Thursday that they are looking forward to come out of the losing jinx by breaking it during the upcoming two-match Test series opener against Pakistan slated in Rawalpindi from February7.
‘’At one point of time we have to break the losing jinx and we are ready for it and we had taken good preparation and considering everything we are very hopeful with the match,’’ Mominul Haque told reporters at Rawalpindi ahead of the opening Test on Thursday.

‘’We are not good at overseas condition and now we are trying to start performing in overseas condition from here and overall we are well focused and we believe we can play good cricket,’’ he said
‘’After the Test Championship every match is important for every team as it is important for them and it is also important for us,’’ he said. Bangladesh ended up on the losing side against New Zealand, Afghanistan and India since 2019 while they have also lost nine of the 10 Test matches they have played against Pakistan, with the other result being a draw.
Russell Domingo is still without a win in Test matches since his appointment as Bangladesh coach after their most recent series against India ended in heavy back-to-back defeats with his side losing both matches by an innings.
Tamim Iqbal is the key inclusion after he missed out against India due to a groin injury and he is set to open the batting with Saif Hassan but there is a gap to plug in the side with captain Mushfiqur Rahim deciding to pull out of the tour due to security concerns.
In Rahim’s absence, Liton Das will take wicket but it will also result in a change to the batting order with Najmul Hossain Shanton taking the important number three spot with Mominul Haque, Mohammad Mithun and Mahmudullah Riyad taking up the next slots in the order.
