Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque said on Monday that they need to learn from the mistakes against Afghanistan and India series.

Bangladesh will travel to Pakistan on Tuesday evening to take part in the opening game of the two-match Test series, scheduled at Rawalpindi from February7.

Bangladesh will return back and play home series against Zimbabwe while they will travel to Pakistan for the last segment of the tour that includes an ODI and the last Test in April.

Bangladesh was embarrassed by the Afghanistan at home while they were humiliated by the Indian at their own backyard.

‘’I think, if we can learn something from the defeats against India and Afghanistan, then I think it will be good Test match,’’ he said.

‘’Team is good. I always try that the team does not change that much when I am playing as captain. I think that has going well now. We have the players who are in last Test team. Maybe Tamim was not there now we are missing Mushfiqur but we have Tamim. We will Mushfiqur bhai, Shakib also. And who will bat in Mushfiq’s position, this is an opportunity for them. Overall, I think the team is good,’’ he said.

Mominul added that he have confidence that the bowlers are capable of picking 20 wickets and they will do it in near future.

‘’The bowlers we have who are playing regularly, they will get used to it by playing more. Test cricket, four-day cricket. And you learn Test cricket by playing more. You won’t get the result within a day or year. You won’t get bowlers in six months of time who can pick 20 wickets. it is same with all the leading bowlers in the world. Like the bowlers who are playing for India, they have been playing for 10 to 15 years,’’ said Mominul.

‘’So it comes with experience. So the Test bowlers we have, if they can continue for couple of years, they will gain the experience of getting 20 wickets,’’ he concluded.
