Bangladesh’s banned all-rounder Shakib al Hasan is certainly coming back into life after deciding to go into some kind of hibernation since being banned by ICC for failing to report corrupt approaches on October 29.

ICC banned Shakib from all forms of cricket for two years, with one year of the sentence suspended on October 29 after the player was found to have breached the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Code.

The ICC Shakib had accepted three charges related to failing to report "approaches he received to engage in corrupt conduct" and according to governing body of cricket if Shakib observes the suspension than he will be able to play again from coming 29th of October.

Though Shakib is not playing any competitive cricket and have taken a break from cricketing activities it does not imply he is sitting idle at home rather he is busier than before doing different commercials activities and it only insists on the aura of Shakib hasn’t changed even a bit despite all the troubles.

As Shakib walked out from the elevator more than eight private security personnel surrounded him at the A.S Mahmud Seminar Hall at The Daily Star Centre to take him towards the packed hall to renew his brand ambassador contract with Unilever on Wednesday.

Shakib maintained a distance from speaking to the media especially about cricket most of the times during the promotional events that he had attended during this time frame after receiving the ban.

But he certainly looked more comfortable and was keeping eye to eye contact with everyone inside the crowded hall room and perhaps for the first time decided to come out from the shell and decided to come up in his very own way during the media interaction following the official introduction speeches.

His eyes were certainly shining when an audiovisual was played ahead of the event where it was shown how he is preparing himself in his tough time through working out in the gym and gearing up for his comeback.

According to his close associates, Shakib is expected to start his preparation for cricketing activities from June but he insisted that he is not ready to disclose everything right at the moment apart from the fact that that he is well aware of his cricketing mission.

‘’You have to wait until I return to cricket [whether I comeback strongly]. If I said I am doing many things to prepare myself but I can’t prove it after my return to cricket…in that case, that won’t be acceptable and the result won’t be good. Keep waiting..time will say the rest,’’ Shakib told reporters during a occasion where Unilever extended their contract with the Bangladeshi superstar for three more years as their brand ambassador.

‘’If you are connected with any activity for a long time, whether it’s something that you like or not, you will miss that regardless of your intentions. It’s not different for me as well. So naturally, I am missing cricket and it’s very much normal for a human being,’’ he said.
