Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan is all set to lose national contract when Bangladesh Cricket Board will hand the national team cricketers a fresh contract on January 12.
Shakib Al Hasan will be dropped out of the contract renewal as the ace all-rounder is under one year of suspension.
After failing to report the proposal from the bookies, Shakib is currently under a suspension since last October.
Shakib’s suspension will unfold again on October 28 this year, which will also see the end of Tweenty20 World Cup which is also scheduled to be held in the same month.

Shakib may have to wait till the ODI series against Sri Lanka to make his return as Tigers’ next series after the World Cup comes on December.
As Shakib will not be available almost for a year, the all-rounder could miss the offer to renew his contract with the board.
Confusion also remains with ODI skipper Mashrafe Mostaza’s case. Mashrafe has not played any matches since the end of World Cup 2019 as Bangladesh have also played just three ODIs since then.
According schedule, Bangladesh will play nine one-day matches in this year.
The national team will play three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe which is scheduled to be held in February. And then the Tigers’ will visit Ireland for three ODIs in May before facing Sri Lanka in December.
Whether Mashrafe will lead the Tigers in all nine ODIs that has not yet been confirmed but BCB cricket operation chairman Akram Khan ensured that Mashrafe’s renewal depends completely upon him as he also said there is no possibility that Shakib will be getting any renewal as he is under suspension.
“As Shakib is banned, there is no chance Shakib will be in the contract. And whether Mashrafe will renew or not, that depends on him,” said Akram.
