Two Bangladeshi umpires – Sharfuddowla Ibne Shahid Saikat and Masudur Rahman Mukul will officiate matches in the upcoming ICC Under-19 World Cup, scheduled to start on January 17 in South Africa.

Both Saikat and Mukul will conduct three separate group phase matches each in the tournament as an on-field umpire while the umpires list for knock-out matches was yet to be announced.

This will be the first time two international panel umpires from Bangladesh will officiate in an ICC event although Saikat and Enamul Haque Moni had previous experience of conducting ICC tournament matches.

They will also conduct two separate warm-up matches each in the build-up of the tournament. 

Both Saikat and Mukul, who were part of the umpiring panel in  the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League, will leave for South Africa on Tuesday.
