Rajshahi Royals opener Liton Kumar their focus is very much in place despite losing two games on a trot in the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League.

Rajshahi was going on great guns until they looked faded in the last couple of matches that eventually earned them losses and according to Liton fielding was largely responsible for their debacle.

No, the focus has not displaced. We had played really bad in the last two matches (especially) fielding grabbed the eyes. The ball dropped. Bowlers will get hit in T20 and batsmen will score, this is natural. 170-180 is should be scored,’’ Liton Kumar Das told reporters after the match.

‘’But the fielding became really costly for us. The catches we dropped in last two matches, if we could take those opportunities then the scores might not be as big,’’ he said.

Liton said that though there is no pressure on them but he along with his partner Afif Hossain needs to step up so that they can give their team a solid platform to work on.

‘’There’s nothing like pressure. power-play is really important in T20 cricket. If the start is good, then the next batsmen can go with the flow. What happened in our last five-six matches,’’ said Liton.

‘’ (But) it didn’t happen in the last two because we lost the wickets quickly.  We have this pressure, but if we score the runs in power-play then it will be fine,’’ he said adding that he is not ready to make huge plans for the coming year.
