Bangladesh Test opener Sadman Islam said on Monday that he is ready to change in order to adapt with the shorter-version but added Test still remains his first priority.
Sadman is regarded as a Test specialist for his cautious batting approach and is not considered for other formats.
The left-handed opener was not considered by any team during the players draft and only managed to get the taste of Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier courtesy Rangpur Rangers as they included him into their squad lately.
Sadman said that he is aware of his limitation in the shorter format and eyes to improve it in the coming days.
‘’Certainly shorter format training is different,’’ Sadman told reporters on Monday.

‘’I am trying to play in a shorter version and if I can play in a shorter format with some training I will try to prove myself,’’ he said.
‘’We need to do extra practice for power-hitting and if I think in that way than certainly, I will need to follow different practice modules,’’ he said.
‘’I will have to practice so that I can change myself,’’ he said.
Sadman said that though he is thinking of shorter format cricket it is certainly not at the expense of Test cricket as that is his major priority.
‘’I will have to practice with red ball as we have Test cricket in the coming days and I want to do well there,’’ said Sadman.
We do not play that many Test matches but in 2020 we have many Test matches.
‘’If can do well and play good cricket it will be better for us as we did not do well in India in the Test series,’’ he said.
‘’If we can play well it will be better for us,’’ he said adding that he is not very keen to know who are picked in the Twenty20 squad.
‘’I have not seen ant T20 squad as I am thinking of Test cricket as I am more focused in longer version cricket,’’ he said.
