Bangladesh chief selector Minhajul Abedin said on Sunday that they are yet to prepare the team for the upcoming three-match Twenty20 international in Pakistan that is slated from January and waiting to see how it stands after ongoing Bangabandhu
Pakistan Cricket Board is yet to announce anything official after receiving the reply from the Bangladesh counterpart where BCB stated that they are not willing to play the two-match Test series in Pakistan and only willing to play the three-match T20 series.
The tourists are scheduled to visit Pakistan in January- February for the bilateral series comprising two-match Test and three-match Twenty 20 series.

‘’We can plan about the team right now. We won’t be able to make the plans properly, until BPL reaches its half way, then we will think about it,’’ said Minhajul.
‘’In terms of shorter versions, it is difficult to bring out the players. In longer version we can watch a player in every sector- batting, bowling and fielding. But it is hardly possible in shorter version. The possibility is also less here. In that case, we have to count the performers. Who have performed, including the young players, they will definitely be considered. We will see the stability of the players when the tournament comes at half way,’’ he said.
‘’We have to take our own preparations. As we have some times, we can prepare a team,’’ he said.
Minhajul said that he is happy to see players getting confidence under their belt by scoring runs in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League.
‘’In T20 or shorter version formats the excitement is, runs have to come, boundaries have to come. Runs are coming in Chattogram. This is good for the audience and the players are also getting more confidence. But the disappointments are there for the bowlers. Wickets will usually be different in different venues. Players face different challenges in different pitches. If the struggle in Dhaka, then they are playing comfortably in Chattogram. And they might feel difficulty when they will be playing in Sylhet. If we have different wickets in different venues, it will be beneficial for us.
