Chattogram Challengers’ leg spinner Jubair Hossain said on Friday that he prepared to grab his opportunity in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League.
Despite the early instruction from Bangladesh Cricket Board of keeping at least one leg spinner in the teams’ playing combination, it has now become more of a guideline for the teams.
“If I get to play, it is definitely good for me. When the opportunity will arrive, I am ready to perform” Jubair told reporters at the academy field of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Jubair said that he is preparing himself for the matches and working ‘mainly on the accuracy’ to improvise himself more as a bowler.

“The way I need to keep myself prepared, I am preparing myself in that way. I have worked hard so far, I will try to execute those in the ground” Likhon told.
“I want to work more mainly on accuracy. The more I can improve my accuracy, I am working on that” said Likhon when quizzed on if any specific area he is working on especially.
“I am also working on the variations” he added.
Chattogram bowlers failed to have any impact on Khulna Tigers as their opponent handed them an eight-wicket defeat.
Among the spinners, only Chattogram deployed in their last match only Nasum Ahmed was able to pick wickets in both of their first two occasions but proved expensive too.
Jubair said that he is waiting for his time in the BBPL.
“I have to see the team combination. The franchise wants the team to perform. I hope the opportunity will come, maybe now it has not happened because of the team combination, ‘said Jubair.
Jubair said that Mahmudullah's availability will be a big bonus for them as he is recovered from his hamstring injury and all set to feature in their third game.
“Riyad bhai’s arrival is obviously good news for the team because the last match was not good for us. So we are expecting Riyad bhai to make a comeback and contribute for us. Riyad bhai is completely fit (to play),’’ Jubair concluded
