Dhaka Platoon wicket keeper batsman Anamul Haque said on Wednesday that he is ready to bat anywhere for the sake of the team.

Though Anamul and Tamim is expected to open but as Twenty20 cricket is all about experimentation no ones place is fixed in the playing XI.

Platoon will start their campaign against Rajshahi Royals at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday.

‘’Wherever sir (coach) thinks [I am ready to bat],’’ Anamul told reporters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday.

‘’I am always ready to play anywhere for the team. But as an opener, I will always try to lead the team from the front.

Anamul said that they are fortunate to have experienced local coach Mohammad Salahuddin to guide them as he feels that he knows the pulse of the cricketers more than anything else.

‘’Actually, to speak freely, it is easy to confess when it is our local coach. Not every player is able to speak frequently in English. So if it is a local player, there’s good opportunity to communicate, how’s everything going,’’ said Anamul.

‘’I think Salahuddin sir is best in that perspective. He tries to understand what’s going on in the player's minds. That’s why players enjoy working with him. And he is always ready to help any player. I think there are many things to learn to work with such a coach. And the team combination also becomes wonderful,’’ he said adding that the strongest point of Salahuddin is that he makes his cricketers play like a unit.

‘’This is very important in cricket and understands each other,’’ he said.

‘’I think this is his strongest zone that he makes everyone understand the importance of his input in the dressing room,’’ he said.

Anamul said that though Shahid Afridi is unwell they are confident that he will be available in time before their opening game.

‘’He was sick a bit. That’s why he didn’t come but he will come,’’ he said.
