Sylhet Thunders head coach Herschelle Gibbs said on Monday that he is expecting to fire despite having some unknown cricketers in his team as he feel the opponents are little aware about their strength.
Unlike some other team Thunders are not a firm favorite to win the trophy.
‘’You do not need big names you need one guy to fire the unknown is a good place to be in because no other teams know the unknown,’’ Gibbs told reporters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Monday.

‘’Like I said if you fly under the radar it is nice to get one out of the way. There will nerve, excitement and energy for everybody including me,’’ he said.
‘’I still feel on with my players on the field .i feel it as much they do .once tomorrow comes if you play with freedom you can achieve anything irrespective of who play against .there is no guarantees in the game which is fantastic. I like I said As far as our skill set is a concern we have got a variety of spinner and unfortunately, we do not have top order left-handed batsman. We might be little be short there, we have to do with what we have .i have only been with the guys for two days, they are well-prepared. I have seen enough of them just want them to come tomorrow mentally prepared .you cannot over-prepare .they have done everything there is no injury and niggles .i just want them to have a good night's sleep and come rock and roll,’’ he said.
‘’Unfortunately, as there was a last-minute thing I could not come to draft .I did some name forward to the owners when the draft is happening. Most of these players is not available for the whole tournament which is obviously a big distraction for choosing a team, you like the squad for the while tournament .i have got faith in my players,’’ he said.
Thunders will take on Chattogram Challengers in the opening game of the tournament.
