Former Chittagong Vikings logistic manager Shakil Abedin has been suspended from BBPL activities due to his ixing approach to the players to throw away one match.
Match-fixing has been a real burning issue in world cricket and there was evidence BPL matches have been fixed before and iconic cricketer has been suspended for this which forced BCB to show zero tolerance on this issue.

BCB also found Shakil’s misdoing in last BPL. According to BCB sources Shakil asked his Chittagong player to throw away matches against Rakhshi and he has asked them to work in his directions.
BCB had brought Shakil incident to the Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) and the truth was found out and for this reason he was suspended from this year’s BBPL.
But Shakil is not aware of these happenings as he said the ACU even did not ask him about the incident and he is looking after his ill father.
He claimed he even is not aware of BCB bans imposed on him.
Bangladesh iconic cricketer Mohammed Ashraful was earlier for fixing in BPL and former national cricketer Shariful Haque Plabon was banned for life for his spot-fixing approach to Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza.
