Shahid Sunny jr handed one year suspended suspension

Former national pace bowler Mohammad Sahid is handed a one-year suspended suspension by the Bangladesh Cricket Board for violating code of conduct in the National Cricket League.
Sahid was implicated for the incident involving Sahadat Hossain and Arafat Sunny that eventually forced BCB to ban Sahadat for five years, with two years suspended.
Sahadat was banned for assaulting teammate Arafat in the NCL game while Sahid had been mentioned in the match officials' report for starting the scrap with Sunny.
Arafat was also handed one year suspended suspension for provoking Sahadat to lose his temper.
BCB disciplinary committee called both the cricketers and handed them the suspension as they found them guilty after the hearing.
‘’Both of them committed level two offense and was handed the suspended suspension. Though they are not banned immediately their on and off field activities will be monitored and if they commit any offense than the ban will be activated right away,’’ said a BCB official.
The 33-year-old Dhaka Division player was withdrawn from the game against Khulna Division after allegedly hitting Sunny, apparently following an argument about shining the ball - Sunny refused to shine the ball for the paceman. Those who saw the incident said it needed the Dhaka players' intervention to restrain Hossain.
His actions amounted to a Level 4 offence and he was handed a fine of BDT 100,000 (USD 1200 approx.) by the BCB
According to the official who was part in the hearing of the duo, Sahadat called Arafat on two occasions when he did not respond that forced the pace bowler lose his temper.
According to witnesses when Arafat was walking towards Sahadat he was pushed by Sahid and he screamed ‘why don’t you listen to big brother’ and it only made Sahadat more angry and he started slapping Arafat junior that was eventually sorted out after intervention of other cricketers.
Meanwhile, Sahadat prayer for a full hearing was granted by BCB but they did not back out from the punishment as during the course of the hearing it was found out that he was guilty of level four offense.
Sahadat, who has played 38 Tests, 51 ODIs and six T20Is between 2005 and 2015, hasn't been in the national frame since he was arrested in 2015 for beating up his domestic help, which led to a temporary suspension.
