Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Australian High Performance head coach Simon Helmot quits from his position due to his family commitments.
Helmot, who was appointed as Bangladesh HP head coach back in June, 2016 leaves the position after three years of working experience with the Tigers’ youth team.

“I would have loved to have stayed but the time and family commitments made it difficult” Helmot told Cricfrenzy after announcing resignation.
Helmot said that he have the desire to ‘reconnect’ with Bangladesh cricket as he said there are many works to be done with HP and A level.
“I would welcome the opportunity to reconnect with the Bangladesh cricket in the future s there is lots of work to be done, especially with at HP and A level” said Helmot.
“Enjoyed working with all the players and the coaches. We developed many players to national level” he concluded.
During Helmot’s tenure at HP level- Nazmul Hasan Shanto, Naim Sheikh, Afif Hossain, Muhammad Nayeem, Shadman Islam- many such players graduated to the national team in recent times.
