Bangladesh pace bowler Al Amin Hossain said that they would be eyeing to avoid innings defeat against India in the ongoing pink-ball Test at Eden Garden.
Bangladesh survived a testing final period on day two to take the match in the third day after reaching 152-6 in their second innings with Mushfiqur Rahim leading the way with an unbeaten 59 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday.
Earlier, India declared their first innings for 347-9 and reduced Bangladesh to 7-2 in just five overs in the second session.

Bangladesh lost Mohammad Mithun (six) and Imrul Kayes (five) early on the final session as Bangladesh were at risk of losing the match inside the second day.
But Mushfiq and Mahmudullah then showed some fight, forming a 69-run stand for the fifth wicket before the latter was retired hurt on 39 after suffering a hamstring injury with the score on 82-4.
‘‘Batting at first 30 overs is very difficult. There is swing and bounce in first 30 overs. When the ball becomes wet, there was nothing much in the field,’’ said Al Amin.
‘’We could not pass the stage in the first innings. We still needed 90 runs to avoid innings defeat. We all will try to make India bat in the second innings,’’ he said.
Al Amin said that they are lagging behind inexperience that he believes was the major difference between the two teams.
‘‘I think we are playing more number of T20s and ODIs and because of that we are doing well in those formats. But we play fewer Test matches. A few months ago we just played against Afghanistan but India is just playing Test matches. I think the more Test matches we will play, the better we will perform,’’ he concluded.
