Bangladesh batsman Mohammad Mithun said that they are more concerned than anyone else about doing well in the three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka. Mithun wants to overcome the World Cup failure and start anew. That's why he is thinking about playing match by match in this series.

" Actually I personally think that we didn't fulfill our expectations in the World Cup. Not yours and also not ours. We are more concerned than anyone else about this series. Because we have played in the World Cup and we have to take the responsibility," said Mithun to the reporters are the warm-up match.

" I personally believe we have to forget about the past start anew. If we don't forget that that type of result may occur once again. So, I think if we concentrate on the Sri Lanka series match by match then In Sha Allah we will be successful," added Mithun.

Bangladesh went into the World Cup with their most experienced side ever. Their goal was to reach the semifinal. But they finished eighth in the recently finished World Cup.

But Bangladesh started their rehabilitation program well. They have beaten Sri Lanka by five wickets in their only warmup match ahead of the series.

Mithun is also in good nick. He played a tremendous innings of 91 runs to set to tone for the match. He is expected to perform a big role at number three position in Bangladesh's batting line up at the absence of ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who is not playing in this series. Mithun has been doing good so far in this role. Along with Shakib, some other important members of Bangladesh is also missing in this series, like Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Liton Kumar Das, and Mohammad Saifuddin.

The main test of Bangladesh will start on July 26, where the will play Sri Lanka in the first ODI. The second and third ODI is on 28 and 31 July. All of the three matches will be played in Colombo.
