Bangladesh Under-19 skipper Akbar Ali insisted they are not looking too far ahead in the upcoming tri-nation comprising with India and host England, scheduled from July 22 to August 11.

Each team will play with each other four times on league basis matches and later top two teams will play in the final on August 11.

Prior to the tri-nation meet, touring Bangladesh will play a warm-up match against Young Lions Invitational XI on July 18 at ECB Performance Centre in Loughborough.

‘’We have a lot of matches to play before final, we have to play eight matches. We will try to move forward match by match without thinking that far,’’ skipper Akbar told reporters ahead of the tri-nation.

‘’We are also going a bit early so it is a great opportunity for us to cope up with the English condition,’’ he said.

‘’I think coping up with the conditions and wickets of England will be the biggest challenge,’’ he said.

Akbar insisted that it will be a totally different to play England at their own back yard despite the fact they had done well against them in the recent past at home.

Look it is going to be a totally different series. England came to our country and played here. as per our knowledge, they also have made some changes in their team,’’ said Akbar.

Of course, they will give us some challenges in their home conditions. India is a good team too,’’ he said adding that they will be looking forward to use this experience in the upcoming Under-19 World Cup.

‘’You all know our main target is the 2020 World Cup. We are taking preparation for the World Cup. This series is going to help us a lot before the World Cup,’’ he said.

‘’Before the World Cup, playing a tri-nation series like this is a big opportunity,’’ he said.

During the tri-nation tournament, Bangladesh Youth team will play England on July 22 at New Road, Worcester, face India on July 24 at the same venue, play India again on July 27 at Cheltenham College in Gloucestershire and face hosts England on July 28 at the same venue.
