Tamim rested due to precaution- National selector

Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Tuesday that they have rested opener Tamim Iqbal against India in their last warm-up as part of precaution due to the injury that he sustained in their last practice session.
Even before the start of the game there were media speculation that Tamim and Mashrafee bin Murtaza will be rested against as the duo is recovering from respective injury.
Team management said that they will wait till the morning before taking a decision in this regard and though Mashrafee was cleared to play they refrained from taking any chance with Tamim, who injured his gluteal muscle during the fielding session.

‘’We are not playing him as precaution,’’ Habibul Bashar, national selector accompanying the team in England, told reporters on Tuesday.
‘’But we don’t need a scan for Tamim as it doesn’t seem that serious though there is slight bit of pain gluteal muscle,’’ he said,.
‘’He is not playing [against India in the warm-up] because he is playing regularly for a while and more importantly among runs and so the team management did not forced him to play,’’ he said.
Mashrafe Mortaza had an who was also rumored to have an injury was in doubt before the warm-up match against India though the skipper was all cleared and featured in their second warm-up match against India.
Mashrafee is carrying an hamstring injury since the tour of Ireland but as it did not looked serious team management promoted to field their most inspirational skipper against their Asian neighbors, who are one of the front runner for the championship.
