The Bangladesh fast bowlers will have the backing of their captain Mashrafe Mortaza as they are in good rhythm ahead of the three-match ODI series against West Indies.

“If you see, since 2015, we have been in a rhythm. We have been playing with three pacers and sometimes we have even played with four,” Mashrafe told reporters ahead the series beginning on November 9.

“It matters a lot whether you getting results on your favor. We have played with three pacers even on a flat wicket. But, the success rates of our pacers are high even in the flat wickets. So it is important to keep an eye on that”.

Mashrafe added that he is well aware of the dew factor at this point of time in Bangladesh and it suggested he will be backing the pacers as it becomes difficult for spinners to grip the ball if there is excessive dew.

“How much dew will be on the field, and how that will impact the match, will matter a lot in the day-night matches. Dew factor can play a big role in this time of the year. But, it is true that our pacers are backing up well, he said.

“We have two spinners who can bat as well. So it helps us to take a decision. We have played the last BPL at this time of the year and we saw that the dew did not make a big impact in Mirpur.

“If we bat first and get deep dew right after that, it will be tough for us. If the amount of dew remains low, that will be manageable.
