While Bangladesh vastly relied on spinners to win the Test series, they are used to form the ODI team, emphasizing on their pace battery. Even in the home conditions, they are now used to play with three pacers who won them many games over the last three years.
West Indies batsman Shai Hope seemed to know this and urged his side to prepare for both type of bowlers, terming Bangladesh’s pace attack as good as their spin.

“As everyone would expect the ball will spin a bit more in Bangladesh. But still, we have to wait till the day to see what it is like to play. We can expect spin and it can be something different, so we have to cover all our bases and be ready for whatever they throw at us,” he said.
“We have to make sure we are ready for whatever they throw at us. We can expect spin but they also have some quality pacers, who have been around for a long time. We know what to expect from that part as well.”
Shai Hope who was not in great form in the Test series predicted Bangladesh would employ same spin attack in ODI series what they threw at them during the Test series.
“It will be pretty similar. I am sure they will use the Test series to gauge their ODI squad and playing XI from. But regardless of what they throw at us, we have to be ready,” he said.
