A run-galore in the National Cricket League match between Rangpur Division and Barisal Division could see it ending up in a draw as the teams are yet to start the second innings in their Tier 1 clash.

Replying to Rangpur’s total of 502 runs in the first innings, Barisal have so far posted a total of 384 runs to the scoreboard, losing five of their wickets.

Starting the day on their previous score of 91/1, Barisal became four down at 144 runs. Fazle Mahmud and Sohag Gazi then stitched together a partnership of 226 runs to steer their side out of danger. Both the batsmen belted a century, but Gazi could not stay at the crease till the end of the day as he got dismissed on 128 runs.

Another centurion, Fazle is unbeaten on 130 runs and will resume the innings for Barisal on day four along with Nuruzzaman, who is not-out on 12.

Among the Rangpur bowlers, Shubasish Roy, Shohrawardi Shuvo, and Sajedul Islam got one wicket each while Mahmudul Hasan took his tally of scalps to two, by taking a wicket on day-3.
