Bangladesh batsman Sabbir Rahman has issued a statement on his official Facebook page to shed some light on the recent allegations made against him. The right-hander has denied any wrongdoing and revealed that his personal account was hacked, which later caused the mishap.

Earlier, the 26-year-old was accused of threatening two fans on social media after Bangladesh’s second ODI against West Indies. One of those fans had posted a status satirizing Sabbir’s current form and the other one had tagged the batsman on to the post following his unimpressive 12-run innings in that match.

The alleged social media account (Sabbir Rahman Roman), which has more than 90,000 followers, was deactivated after the incident was reported to the BCB.
