Mustafiz is doubtful for entire Test-series in West Indies

Bangladesh’s medical team had previously keeping fast-bowler Mustafizur Rahman out of the Test squad ahead of the first match against West Indies. And now the fast-bowler is likely to miss the entire two-match series.
Mustafiz injured his toe while trying to stop a ball during an IPL encounter on May 20. He was subsequently ruled out for three weeks and is currently going through rehabilitation process.
The 22-year-old is expected to return to action next week. However, BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin had confirmed that Mustafiz won’t be considered for a spot in the squad until he gets fully fit.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is yet to announce the squad for the first Test. The two-match series opener will start on July 4.
Bangladesh national team will fly out to the Caribbean on June 23. Following the Test-series, two limited-overs series will be played where the Tigers will take on West Indies in three ODIs and as many T20Is.
Bangladesh will go into the match licking their wounds following a 3-0 whitewash in a T20-series against Afghanistan. The absence of “the Fizz” had been felt during that series as Bangladesh’s pace unit couldn’t manage to put up a decent display.
The upcoming series be Steve Rodes’ first assignment as the head-coach of the Bangladesh national team. Except for the Nidahas Trophy, the team hasn’t been very good outside home in recent times and they would like to change it under the newly appointed coach.
