Batting at No. 7, Miraz remained unbeaten on 109 off 141 balls, striking 11 fours and four sixes, as Bangladesh were bowled out for 263.
With the rest of the batting line-up failing to convert starts, Miraz's knock helped the tourists post a competitive total. Mominul Haque made 37, while Shadman Islam added 31.
Reflecting on his innings, Miraz said: "I tried to play according to the merit of the ball. Their bowlers were hitting good areas consistently. It was difficult at the start because this was my first match in these conditions. My initial focus was on building partnerships and getting accustomed to the wicket. Once I settled in, the runs came."
The Bangladesh vice-captain believes the innings will boost his confidence ahead of the opening Test against Australia.
"The Test series is just around the corner, so this innings will give me a lot of confidence. If I can maintain the same mindset going forward, it will benefit both me and the team," he said.
Miraz also stressed the importance of handling the challenging conditions before playing his shots.
"The conditions were tough from the beginning. I tried to absorb the pressure, hold one end and keep the scoreboard moving. Whenever I got the opportunity, I looked to capitalise on it," he added.
In reply, Cricket Australia XI reached 51 for 2 at stumps, still trailing by 212 runs. Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud picked up one wicket each for Bangladesh.
