The session began with a team briefing and warm-up before the players moved through stretching routines and sprint drills.
Batters then spent time in the practice nets facing the bowlers, while the rest of the squad rotated between fielding drills, running sessions and fitness work.
Taijul said the team arrived in Australia refreshed after making good use of a transit stop during the journey.
"The journey was good because we had a transit and got enough rest there. Alhamdulillah, everything went well."
The left-arm spinner also expressed satisfaction with the training facilities in Darwin, saying the conditions allowed the squad to complete all aspects of their preparation.
"Overall, the preparation has been good. The first day's practice was very good… the facilities here are excellent. From the wicket to the fielding area, and from fielding practice to running drills, we are able to do every kind of activity. Everything has been very good."
Bangladesh are preparing for their first Test series in Australia since 2003, with the Tigers set to face a full-strength Australian side in a two-match ICC World Test Championship series.
