The ICC released its latest men’s rankings on Wednesday, where Nahid, along with fellow pacers Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam, made significant gains across formats.
In the ODI series against the Kiwis, the trio combined to take 18 wickets.
Nahid led the charge with eight wickets, while Mustafizur and Shoriful picked up five wickets each. Notably, Mustafizur achieved his tally from just the final match of the series.
Following these performances, Nahid has jumped 16 places to 48th in the ODI bowling rankings. Mustafizur climbed 14 spots to 41st, while Shoriful made an 11-place leap to reach 28th.
Among Bangladesh bowlers, ODI captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz remains the highest-ranked, holding steady at number 8.
In the batting rankings, both Najmul Hossain Shanto and Litton Das made notable improvements. Shanto moved up 11 places to 32nd, while Litton surged 15 spots to 65th.
Miraz also progressed in the ODI all-rounders’ rankings, climbing one position to secure the number 3 spot.
In T20Is, Towhid Hridoy advanced nine places to 39th after a Player of the Match performance in the first T20I against New Zealand. Left-handed batter Parvez Hossain Emon also moved up three spots to 40th.
