Nahid Rana makes big leap in ICC ODI rankings after five-wicket haul

Bangladesh pacer Nahid Rana has climbed 32 places in the latest ICC ODI bowling rankings following his fiery spell against New Zealand in the second ODI.

The young fast bowler, who claimed 5 for 32 with a mix of pace, bounce, and yorkers, is now ranked 64th with 447 rating points.

Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain also moved up 10 spots to joint 58th after taking three wickets in the first two matches. Shoriful Islam retained his position at 39th following consistent performances.

However, skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz slipped two places to 8th, while Taskin Ahmed dropped to 29th. Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman fell seven spots to 55th after missing both matches due to injury.

Among batters, Tanzid Hasan Tamim jumped 14 places to 40th after his 76-run knock in the second ODI. Towhid Hridoy moved up five spots to joint 26th alongside Mohammad Rizwan, becoming Bangladesh’s highest-ranked batter.

Najmul Hossain Shanto climbed one place to 43rd after a fifty, while Litton Das is now 80th. Saif Hassan also gained 15 spots to reach 89th despite a slow half-century in the first ODI.
