Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against Bangladesh after picking up a hamstring injury, according to reports.

The left-handed batter suffered the injury while playing an attacking innings against Sri Lanka during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. He is set to begin rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) as he works toward regaining full fitness.

Pakistan are due to tour Bangladesh later this month for a three-match ODI series. The squad will arrive in Dhaka on March 9 and train the following day.

The matches are scheduled for March 11, 13 and 15, all to be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

This will be Pakistan’s second visit to Bangladesh since July 2025. On their previous tour, Bangladesh won the T20I series.

Sources also suggest that Pakistan’s selectors are weighing possible adjustments to the ODI squad, with an emphasis on introducing younger players to improve the team balance.
