The 10th edition of the T20 World Cup begins on 7 February in India, while all of Pakistan’s matches will be staged in Sri Lanka. The first round will run until 20 February. The ICC revealed ticket prices for the opening phase today, and sales have already begun.
From 7:15 pm Bangladesh time, fans can purchase tickets for the first round through tickets.cricketworldcup.com.
The ICC added that ticket prices and sales for the second round will be announced soon.
According to the information published, the lowest-priced ticket, INR 100 or Tk 135, is for the Bangladesh vs Italy match on 9 February at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
Tickets for Bangladesh’s matches against West Indies and England at the same venue start from INR 300, while the Bangladesh vs Nepal match has a minimum price of INR 250.
A total of 20 teams will feature in this year’s World Cup. The first round has been divided into four groups, with each team playing the others once.
Honorary Secretary of BCCI Devajit Saikia threw light on how the nominal prices will help fans create lifelong memories.

The top two sides from each group will progress to the Super Eight, which will be split into two groups. The top four teams from there will reach the semi-finals, scheduled for 4 and 5 March, while the final will be held on 8 March.
If Pakistan reach the semi-final or final, their matches will be hosted in Colombo. Otherwise, the first semi-final will take place in Kolkata, with the final set for Ahmedabad.
