Bangladesh have announced their T20I squad for the upcoming series against Ireland, but the selection is only for the first two matches of the three-match series.

Mohammad Saifuddin returns to the 15-member squad, while Mahidul Islam Ankon, awaiting his debut, has also received a call-up.

Despite having played one Test and three ODIs, Ankon has yet to get a chance in T20Is. To make room for them, pace bowler Taskin Ahmed and Shamim Hossain Patwari, who featured in the recent West Indies series, have been left out.

The rest of the squad remains unchanged from the previous series under Litton Das’s leadership. Saif Hassan will serve as Litton’s new vice-captain.

All three T20Is will be held in Chattogram, with the first match scheduled for November 27, followed by games on November 29 and December 2.

Earlier, Bangladesh completed a dominant performance over Ireland in the two-Test series. After winning the first Test by an innings and 47 runs under Nazmul Hossain Shanto’s leadership, the Tigers secured a 217-run victory in the second Test today.
