Bangladesh, who made a strong impression in the 2024 edition by reaching the semifinals, will be eyeing their maiden title this time.
Wicketkeeper-batter Akbar Ali will lead the side, while Abu Hider Rony, the experienced bowling all-rounder, returns to the squad after featuring in last year’s tournament. Explosive opener Jishan Alam, who starred in 2024 with 152 runs at an average of 76 and six wickets in four matches, also retains his place.
All-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin keeps his spot after taking three wickets in four games last year, while seasoned campaigner Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, with experience in 80 international matches across formats, adds stability and balance to the team.
Rounding out the squad are left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan and pace-bowling all-rounder Tofael Ahmed Rayhan, completing a well-rounded lineup as Bangladesh aims to go all the way in Hong Kong.
