Injury concerns have hit the West Indies camp during their ongoing tour of Bangladesh, prompting two changes to their ODI squad.

Left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein and pacer Ramon Simmonds have been drafted into the side for the remaining matches of the series.

The duo replaces Shamar Joseph and Jediah Blades, both ruled out due to injury. Blades has suffered a stress fracture to his lower back and will miss not only the rest of the Bangladesh series but also the upcoming tour of New Zealand.

He will return home to begin his rehabilitation program. Meanwhile, speedster Shamar Joseph reported shoulder discomfort during the first training session in Dhaka ahead of the opening ODI.

Following medical assessment and scans, he has been advised to consult a specialist in England to begin his rehabilitation process.

With Akeal and Simmonds stepping in, the West Indies will look to regroup quickly as they aim to bounce back in the remaining fixtures of the ODI series against Bangladesh.
