Zimbabwe will host Afghanistan for a shortened series in October, featuring one Test and three T20Is at Harare Sports Club.

Originally scheduled for two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is under the FTP, the itinerary has been reduced, with the second Test and ODIs pushed to 2026.

The lone Test, set for October 20–24, will be Harare’s first in four years, after Zimbabwe’s last nine home Tests were staged in Bulawayo.

Zimbabwe and Afghanistan have met in four Tests since 2021, with Afghanistan winning two, Zimbabwe one, and one ending in a draw.

Their most recent encounter came in December-January 2024-25, when Afghanistan sealed the Test series 1-0 and also won both the T20I (2-1) and ODI (2-0) contests.

The T20Is will be played on October 29, 31, and November 2. The Test will mark the conclusion of Zimbabwe’s busy 2025 schedule, in which they have played 10 matches despite not being part of the World Test Championship.
