Bangladesh ‘A’ struggle in four-day match against South Australia
Bangladesh A vs South Australia
Bangladesh ‘A’, led by Mahidul Ankon, suffered a major setback in their four-day match against South Australia, collapsing for just 114 runs in 35 overs. In reply, the hosts reached 204 for 5 at stumps.

Earlier in the Top End Series under the leadership of Nurul Hasan Sohan, Bangladesh ‘A’ failed to impress, managing only two wins from six matches and finishing ninth despite traveling with the ambition of winning the tournament.

Several changes were made to that squad, with Ankon handed the captaincy for the longer-format clash in Darwin.
Opting to bat first, the Bangladeshi batters struggled badly against South Australia’s pace attack. By the time the scoreboard read 66, nine wickets were down.

Only Shahadat Dipu (25) and Mahmudul Hasan Joy (13) reached double figures among the top order. Later, spinner Rakibul Hasan (22) and tailender pacer Anamul Haque, who remained unbeaten on 27, helped the side push past the 100-run mark.
With the ball, Anamul struck early, dismissing South Australia skipper Nathan McSweeney (8) in his 6 overs, conceding 31 runs.
Hasan Mahmud (1 for 44 in 11 overs) and Musfik Hasan (1 for 30 in 7 overs) chipped in, while spinners Hasan Murad and Nayeem Hasan combined for 2 wickets in 21 overs, giving away 84 runs.
For South Australia, Jason Sangha remained unbeaten on 83, while Jack Fraser-McGurk contributed 52.
