The Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on 24 and 25 July at a five-star hotel in Dhaka. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has completed all necessary preparations to host this significant event. Out of the ACC's 25 member countries, representatives from 16 to 17 nations are expected to attend.

However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already confirmed that it will not participate in the meeting in Dhaka.

Furthermore, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, seemingly aligning with India's stance, also expressed reservations and reportedly urged the ACC to relocate the meeting from Bangladesh.
Despite the pressure, the ACC has not entertained the proposal to change the venue.
BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul confirmed that ACC President Mohsin Naqvi, who also currently heads the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is expected to attend the meeting in Dhaka as scheduled.

Bulbul added that if Naqvi does arrive, there may be discussions regarding expanding the bilateral series between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
ACC executive meeting to be held in Dhaka despite uncertainty over India's participation
12 Jul 25Speaking to the media after the second T20 between Bangladesh and Pakistan, Bulbul said, “The PCB chairman is also the ACC president. He’s coming to attend the ACC event, and if there’s an opportunity to discuss bilateral matters or cricket collaboration, we will try to utilize it.”
On the uncertainty surrounding the meeting, Bulbul clarified: “Let me be clear — the ACC is made up of five full members and 25 associate members from Asia. We received a proposal to host the AGM, and we agreed. As hosts, our role is limited to logistical support only.”
There’s speculation that the upcoming Asia Cup could be a key agenda item during the meeting. While India’s officials will not be physically present, some media reports suggest they may join virtually.
The BCB president reassured that no effort is being spared in ensuring the hospitality of the guests.
“We’re only providing logistical support — airport pickups, hotel arrangements, etc. Everything is being done in coordination with the ACC. Beyond that, we have no involvement,” he highlighted.
