Shakib expects ‘Good’ T20I series between Bangladesh and Pakistan

Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is expecting a closely contested and entertaining T20I series when Bangladesh face off against Pakistan later this month.

With a host of young talent on both sides, the veteran believes the three-match series will showcase “some exciting young players” eager to make their mark.

26 May 25Speaking to Geo TV on Thursday, Shakib shared his thoughts ahead of the series, saying,
“It should be a really good series. Both teams have some exciting young players who will be eager to perform. I’m really looking forward to it.”

The Bangladesh team is set to arrive in Lahore on 25 May, with practice sessions scheduled for 26 and 27 May. All three matches will be held under lights at the Gaddafi Stadium, with the series opener taking place on Wednesday, 28 May, followed by the second match on Friday, 30 May, and the final on Sunday, 1 June.

Shakib is already in Pakistan, currently featuring in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The tournament also marks his return to competitive cricket after a brief break.
