Reacting to the news, Litton said,“This decision is not shocking. Every player has the right to choose when to step away from the game. He’s a legend. I respect his decision,”
“He has contributed not just to Indian cricket but to the global game. He brought the aggressive mindset and intensity of white-ball cricket into Tests a long time ago. It’s a big loss that a player of his caliber won’t be seen in Test cricket anymore” he added.

Recalling his on-field experiences with Kohli, Litton said,

“If we play India again, I will miss him. We’ve played many matches together. He’s very intense on the field, but that’s because of his commitment to the game. Off the field, he’s a polite and genuinely good human being.”
Virat Kohli’s retirement from Test cricket marks the end of an era, and Litton Das’s respectful tribute echoes the sentiments of many across the cricketing world.
