Former Pakistan captain and Prime Minister Imran Khan believes that Team India has become the top team in the world after improving their basic structure in the game. He further added that Pakistan had always been a good team but due to their non-productive cricket structure they failed to beat top sides in world cricket.
"Look at India today, they are becoming a top team in the world because they improved their structure although we have more talent," Imran said while talking to the media in Islamabad. "It takes time for a structure to work and polish talent but I am confident our team will become world beaters."
Howveer, the Prime Minister again shared that since the provincial cricket structure has been taking place in the country now, he is hopeful of positive results as well. He added that due to his busy schedule he didn't have much time for the game while talking about his nominates as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
"Honestly speaking I am not able to spare time for cricket and have not even watched the matches but now that our basic cricket structure has been changed things will improve gradually," he said.
Notably, Imran Khan led Pakistan to its only World Cup win in 1992 in Australia and is considered as one of the highly respected people in the country for his performances on the field. He brought in Ehsan Mani - former ICC President to Pakistan Cricket Board in 2018 after winning the elections and the domestic cricket structure has seen a lot of success too for the last two years.
