The 33-year-old swashbuckling India player has been out of international cricket for quite sometimes now and he last featured for India in 2018. MS Dhoni too has announced his retirement from the International Cricket sometimes ago. He took to Instagram and shared a collage video of his cricketing matches since his debut where he captioned, "Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired (sic)".

Notably, both Dhoni and Raina plays for the same franchise – Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Moreover, both MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina were seen reaching Chennai earlier this week for their scheduled IPL training camp before all the players leave for the 2020 IPL which will take place in the UAE. Both the key players are expected to play the IPL as well.

The swashbuckling India player had made his debut for India way back in 2005 against Sri Lanka at Dambulla. However, he couldn’t do something memorable on that day as he was out for a duck. But over the years, he has evolved and became one of the finest white-ball cricketers as well.

It is noteworthy that Raina is also the first Indian batsman to register centuries in all three formats of the game. He has played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs, and 78 T20Is for India and also considered as one of the best fielders ever to play the game for India as well.

Raina scored 5,615 runs in ODI cricket at an average of 35.31 while he has scored 768 runs in the longest format of the game with the highest score of 120. And, in the shortest format of the game, he has scored 1,605 runs at an average of 29.18.

He was also featured in India’s 2011 World Cup-winning squad and played crucial knocks in the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the tournament as well. Moreover, he is the second-highest run-getter in the history of the IPL, after Virat  Kohli where he has amassed 5,368 runs at an average of 33.34 from 193 matches.

Currently, all the eyes are on the IPL where he is expected to see in action.
