500 Test-wickets is special for any bowlers as this is that kind of feat which can’t be achieved easily. And, England speedster Stuart Broad has joined the list during the third Test of the three-match Test series against West Indies.
Broad who referred to the hard work "addictive", said that it would take a long way to surpass his teammate and the stalwart James Anderson. The pacer, who was dropped from the opening Test in Southampton, reached the feat when he dismissed Kraigg Brathwaite on the fifth day of the deciding third Test against the West Indies on Tuesday and helped his side win the series by 2-1.

"There's something addictive to that hard work you put in away from the game and on match days that lead to Test match wins," Broad said after the match, according to Sky Sports. "That's why it's so massively satisfying when you win. It's always a special achievement because you go through massive highs and huge lows."
Notably, Stuart Broad is only the seventh player to take 500 Test wickets after James Anderson, Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, Anil Kumble, Glenn McGrath and Courtney Walsh. Moreover, he is the fourth fastest bowler to do so.
On the other hand, James Anderson had earlier said that Broad has been "phenomenal" in the last two games against the West Indies and he has "a very good chance" of surpassing him and become England's highest wicket-taker in the longer format of the game.
"That seems a long way away," said Broad when he was asked about surpassing Anderson, who has 589 wickets in the format.
"Jimmy is still at the peak his powers – he turns 38 soon but is still fit and bowling beautifully with so much control and it is a pleasure to be on the field with him. We have enjoyed being back together and it's great it's turned into a Test match win. I think we have a few overs left it in us," he shared.
As England will take on Pakistan next, the paceman is currently eyeing on the upcoming series against Pakistan as well.
