Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan said that the domestic first class cricket completion like National Cricket League (NCL) or Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) won’t quell the side’s recurring problem of lack of application in the longer version format.

He said due to the easier bowling attack in the domestic cricket, Bangladeshi cricketers don’t face much challenging bowling here and therefore every season they ended up with four or five double hundreds.

According to him, those avalanche of runs or century couldn’t give them the skill to thrive in the International circuit.

Bangladesh players lack of participation in the domestic first class cricket again came to the fore in the wake of team’s heartbreaking failure against the Test’s newest nation Afghanistan.

Shakib himself put his example, saying that he didn’t face any problem to play in International cricket despite not playing domestic first class cricket for the last four or five years.

“I do not play much in the last 4 or 5 years but I do not face any problem. You have to ask them,” he said.

“Playing in NCL can be a problem as bowling attack is very weak in NCL and player score 4 to 5 double hundred each year but they find it tough to score 5 runs in international cricket.”

He said that to solve the problem of recurring failure in Test format, they need to use different medicine for different cricketers.

He believes that sometimes domestic cricket may solve someone’s problems but the medicine couldn’t be used all time for all cricketer.

“Everybody has different problem and they will not have the same medicine.  There is lots of plan but you need to process out the plans. The processing is very long when we play badly people spoke about it people need to balance it out.”
