Bangladesh’s High-Performance pace bowling coach Champaka Ramanayke believe Test debutant Ebadat Hossain have the potential to go a long way in the longer formats if he manage to bowl in the right direction.

“He [Ebadat] can bowl fast,’’ Champake told reporters in a satisfied tone as he was one of the major force behind the development of Ebadat.

Ebadat burst into the scene for his recent performances in domestic cricket that have seen him picking wickets regularly at the domestic four-day competition such as National Cricket League and Bangladesh Cricket League, country’s traditional and franchise-based four-day competition respectively.
The 25-year-old pacer can claim himself unlucky as he failed to make an initial breakthrough after opener Tom Latham was dropped by Soumya Sarkar by nicking the of Ebadat and later made the visitor pay by scoring 161.out swinger
“He is impressive. He was unlucky to take an early wicket because the catch was dropped. I am sure that he has the talent because he has good pace and the more he will play against big teams the more he will learn,’’ said the Sri Lankan.
“He has to be consistent with the line and length. It will come eventually with more experience. He has just played one inning but with this pace, if he can be more consistent and better,’’ he concluded.
