Despite the fact that Mustafizur Rahman gave away 14 runs in a span of three balls – his 18^th, 19^th and 20^th balls, where he was pounded for four, four and six – Aakash Chopra praised him and Jasprit Bumrah for their tight bowling.

He pointed out that while the duo and Krunal Pandya have been decent in their endeavours, the rest of the bowlers were not up to the mark. He also added that the Fizz’s dropped catches cost them a lot in the end.

"The thing that stood out, Mustafizur Rahman and Jasprit Bumrah, I think [they gave] about 52 runs [in their 8 overs]. But if you look at the rest of the bowlers, they gave away a lot of runs [143 runs from the rest of the 12 overs]. So I think [that] bowling is a bit of an issue.

“Krunal Pandya didn't also complete his overs, so I think his figures of 21 runs from 3 overs is something that also stood out. A couple of dropped catches from Mustafizur Rahman cost them dearly in the end.”

He then spoke of the fielding of the Sunrisers, praising both Shakib Al Hasan and Manish Pandey for their effort on the field.

"Sunrisers have the best bowling unit in the IPL by a country mile. On top of that, they put the icing on the cake with their fielding. [Manish] Pandey was flying, Shakib's catch... they were sensational.”

Indeed, Shakib, especially, had a fantastic game where he took two wickets, two catches and scored 27 runs with the bat to finish the match off as the most influential player.

Meanwhile, in the first game, Mustafizur Rahman ended up as the most economical bowler in terms of smart economy-rate. According to ESPNCricinfo's Smart Stats, he conceded only 2.87 runs-per-over – which was the best in the whole game.
