Towhid Hridoy and Rishad Hossain have joined the list of Bangladesh cricketers registered for the upcoming Afghanistan Premier League (APL) player draft, taking the number of Bangladeshi entrants to seven.

The duo have been added to a list that already includes Shakib Al Hasan, Nahid Rana, Taskin Ahmed, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mustafizur Rahman.

Several prominent overseas players have also entered the draft, including Gudakesh Motie, Evin Lewis, Luke Wood, Reece Topley, James Vince, Charith Asalanka, Kamindu Mendis, Wanindu Hasaranga, Alzarri Joseph and Akeal Hosein.

The player draft, initially scheduled for September 27, has been postponed to October 24 and will be held in the United Arab Emirates. Registration for the draft has also been extended until October 5.

The APL is scheduled to begin on December 27. Three franchises have already been confirmed, while the process of finalising the remaining two teams is still underway.
