The duo left Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a morning flight, confirming their participation through social media posts. Tanzid wrote, “Time to take part in the PSL,” while Rishad expressed his excitement about heading to Rawalpindi for the 2026 edition.
Rishad will represent Rawalpindiz, a new franchise set to debut this season, while Peshawar Zalmi has signed Tanzid despite going unsold in the auction.
Tanzid heads into the tournament in strong form, having starred in Bangladesh’s recent 2–1 ODI series win over Pakistan national cricket team. The left-hander scored 175 runs, including a century and a fifty, and shared the Player of the Series award with Nahid Rana.
The other Bangladeshi players set to play in the PSL include Mustafizur Rahman and Parvez Hossain Emon at Lahore Qalandars, alongside Shoriful Islam and Nahid Rana at Peshawar Zalmi.
