Among the new additions, Pakistani all-rounder Khushdil Shah is set to feature for Rangpur in the tournament, which begins on December 26.
The franchise has officially confirmed his signing.
Alongside Khushdil, Rangpur have secured direct deals with Kyle Mayers, Iftikhar Ahmed, Dawid Malan and Faheem Ashraf following the draft.
While the rest are expected to be available for the full season, Faheem’s availability remains uncertain.
Even if he joins the team during the Sylhet phase, the right-arm pace-bowling all-rounder may have to leave due to Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka. However, he is expected to return to the BPL after January 12.
Rangpur have made significant progress in their overseas recruitment. Before the draft, they had already signed Khawaja Nafay and Sufiyan Muqeem. In the draft itself, they added Emilio Gay and Mohammad Akhlaq to strengthen their squad further.
