South Africa great Faf du Plessis has announced that he will not be taking part in the IPL 2026 season.

The former Delhi Capitals opener shared the update on social media, confirming that he plans to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) next year instead.

Du Plessis, who has been part of the IPL for 14 seasons, last represented the Delhi Capitals in 2025.

After a disappointing campaign, the franchise released the veteran batter ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction.
